Bible Verses about 'Mortals'

The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?Yahweh is on my side. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?In God, I praise his word. In God, I put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”So that with good courage we say, “The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass.I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die, and of the son of man who will be made as grass?
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man.
What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? What is man, that you think of him? What is the son of man, that you care for him?
Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”But he said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”Looking at them, Jesus said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”Jesus, looking at them, said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.”
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future. In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider; yes, God has made the one side by side with the other, to the end that man should not find out anything after him.
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”But Yahweh said to Samuel, “Don’t look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I don’t see as man sees. For man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.”
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people; and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more. The first things have passed away.”
