Bible Verses about 'Mortals'

The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?
In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?
So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”
I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass.I, yes I, am the one who comforts you. So why are you afraid of mere humans, who wither like the grass and disappear?
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people.
What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? What are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?
Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.”
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.”
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future.Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God. Remember that nothing is certain in this life.
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
