Bible Verses about Worrying

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.
For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief. The greater my wisdom, the greater my grief. To increase knowledge only increases sorrow.
All my longings lie open before you, Lord; my sighing is not hidden from you.You know what I long for, Lord; you hear my every sigh.
Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing.

Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.
