- What are mere mortals that you should think about them,
human beings that you should care for them? - The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me? - I praise God for what he has promised.
I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?
What can mere mortals do to me? - It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in people. - He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.”
- So we can say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper,
so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me?” - Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”
- I, yes I, am the one who comforts you.
So why are you afraid of mere humans,
who wither like the grass and disappear? - Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.”
- There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.
- If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
- Enjoy prosperity while you can,
but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God.
Remember that nothing is certain in this life. - But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
- I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
Only a fool despises a parent’s discipline;
whoever learns from correction is wise. Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right,
speaking the truth from sincere hearts.
Those who refuse to gossip
or harm their neighbors
or speak evil of their friends.Next verse! With image
