With the Lord on my side I do not fear. What can mortals do to me? | The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? |
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. | For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. |

Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action. | My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. |
Turn my heart to your decrees, and not to selfish gain. | Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness. |
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten in God's sight. But even the hairs of your head are all counted. Do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows. | Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. |
Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord. | Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord. |
So then let us not fall asleep as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. | Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. |
Train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray. | Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. |
You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor. | Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's. |
The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some think of slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance. | The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. |
If you will not listen, if you will not lay it to heart to give glory to my name, says the Lord of hosts, then I will send the curse on you and I will curse your blessings; indeed I have already cursed them, because you do not lay it to heart. | If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. |
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. | Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. |
But be doers of the word, and not merely hearers who deceive themselves. | But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. |
But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. | But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. |
O Lord, all my longing is known to you; my sighing is not hidden from you. | Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee. |
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. | Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. |
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. | Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. |
Do not wear yourself out to get rich; be wise enough to desist. | Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom. |
Of all that live in water you may eat these: whatever has fins and scales you may eat. And whatever does not have fins and scales you shall not eat; it is unclean for you. | These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat: And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you. |
I keep the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. | I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. |
For God is not unjust; he will not overlook your work and the love that you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do. | For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. |
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. And even the hairs of your head are all counted. So do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows. | Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. |
You shall not hate in your heart anyone of your kin; you shall reprove your neighbor, or you will incur guilt yourself. You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against any of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord. | Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord. |
From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this ought not to be so. | Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. |
How happy is the one whom God reproves; therefore do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. | Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. |
