| If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. | If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. |
| And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. | And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. |

| No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. | No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. |
| And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. | And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. |
