But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband.

His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

Who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began.He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.
