Bible Verses about 'Own'

Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.
In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
For not by their own sword did they win the land, nor did their own arm save them, but your right hand and your arm, and the light of your face, for you delighted in them. For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
And it shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the Lord, to do them, not to follow after your own heart and your own eyes, which you are inclined to whore after. And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring.
Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart.Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.
For ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are indeed his offspring.’For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Whoever gets sense loves his own soul; he who keeps understanding will discover good.He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.
The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
If you turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight and the holy day of the Lord honorable; if you honor it, not going your own ways, or seeking your own pleasure, or talking idly; then you shall take delight in the Lord, and I will make you ride on the heights of the earth; I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken. If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful.Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.

Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.
