Bible Verses about 'Own'

But because there is so much sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman should have her own husband.Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
Don’t be concerned for your own good but for the good of others.Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.
And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
People may be right in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their heart.Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.
In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
When you see the tassels, you will remember and obey all the commands of the Lord instead of following your own desires and defiling yourselves, as you are prone to do.And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring.
Fools have no interest in understanding; they only want to air their own opinions.A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.
So Jesus told them, “My message is not my own; it comes from God who sent me.”Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
They did not conquer the land with their swords; it was not their own strong arm that gave them victory. It was your right hand and strong arm and the blinding light from your face that helped them, for you loved them. For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.

All the believers were united in heart and mind. Keep the Sabbath day holy. Don’t pursue your own interests on that day, but enjoy the Sabbath and speak of it with delight as the Lord’s holy day. Honor the Sabbath in everything you do on that day, and don’t follow your own desires or talk idly. Then the Lord will be your delight. I will give you great honor and satisfy you with the inheritance I promised to your ancestor Jacob. I, the Lord, have spoken! If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

And with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval.Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.
