and he will show you which path to take. - Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body.

- And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?
- Keep the Sabbath day holy.
Don’t pursue your own interests on that day,
but enjoy the Sabbath
and speak of it with delight as the Lord’s holy day.
Honor the Sabbath in everything you do on that day,
and don’t follow your own desires or talk idly.
Then the Lord will be your delight.
I will give you great honor
and satisfy you with the inheritance I promised to your ancestor Jacob.
I, the Lord, have spoken! - But those who won’t care for their relatives, especially those in their own household, have denied the true faith. Such people are worse than unbelievers.

they imagine it to be a high wall of safety. - Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.
- By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.
- Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!
- Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good.
- What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord,
whose people he has chosen as his inheritance. - For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church.
- But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us!
