- But, because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.
- Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.
- Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.
- Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?
- It shall be to you for a fringe, that you may see it, and remember all Yahweh’s commandments, and do them; and that you don’t follow your own heart and your own eyes, after which you used to play the prostitute.
- For they didn’t get the land in possession by their own sword,
neither did their own arm save them;
but your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face,
because you were favorable to them. - ‘For in him we live, move, and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his offspring.’
- Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
but Yahweh weighs the hearts. - Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.
- He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
- A fool has no delight in understanding,
but only in revealing his own opinion. - Don’t be wise in your own eyes.
Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil.
It will be health to your body,
and nourishment to your bones. - Let the husband give his wife the affection owed her, and likewise also the wife her husband. The wife doesn’t have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise also the husband doesn’t have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
- He who gets wisdom loves his own soul.
He who keeps understanding shall find good. - One man esteems one day as more important. Another esteems every day alike. Let each man be fully assured in his own mind.
- God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.
- Trust in Yahweh with all your heart,
and don’t lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight. - Of his own will he gave birth to us by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
- Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.
- “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
from doing your pleasure on my holy day,
and call the Sabbath a delight,
and the holy of Yahweh honorable,
and honor it,
not doing your own ways,
nor finding your own pleasure,
nor speaking your own words,
then you will delight yourself in Yahweh,
and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth,
and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father;”
for Yahweh’s mouth has spoken it. - But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
- Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin that a man does is outside the body,” but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
- Who are you who judge another’s servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for God has power to make him stand.
- The multitude of those who believed were of one heart and soul. Not one of them claimed that anything of the things which he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.
- “They shall be mine,” says Yahweh of Armies, “my own possession in the day that I make. I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him.”
Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil. The angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people.”
