- But because of sexual immoralities, each man is to have his own wife, and each woman is to have her own husband.
- So husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.
- No one is to seek his own advantage, but rather that of his neighbor.
- It shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the Lord, so that you will do them and not follow your own heart and your own eyes, which led you to prostitute yourselves.
- For by their own sword they did not possess the land,
And their own arm did not save them,
But Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence,
For You favored them. - Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
- Every person’s way is right in his own eyes,
But the Lord examines the hearts. - For in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His descendants.’
- So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
- He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
- A fool does not delight in understanding,
But in revealing his own mind. - One who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
One who keeps understanding will find good. - The husband must fulfill his duty to his wife, and likewise the wife also to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; and likewise the husband also does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
- Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your body
And refreshment to your bones. - One person values one day over another, another values every day the same. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind.
- So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
- So Jesus answered them and said, “My teaching is not My own, but His who sent Me.”
- Who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, eager for good deeds.
- Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight. - If, because of the Sabbath, you restrain your foot
From doing as you wish on My holy day,
And call the Sabbath a pleasure, and the holy day of the Lord honorable,
And honor it, desisting from your own ways,
From seeking your own pleasure
And speaking your own word,
Then you will take delight in the Lord,
And I will make you ride on the heights of the earth;
And I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father,
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. - Flee sexual immorality. Every other sin that a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.
- Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
- And the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; and not one of them claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but all things were common property to them.
- But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
- “And they will be Mine,” says the Lord of armies, “on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will have compassion for them just as a man has compassion for his own son who serves him.”
Who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was granted to us in Christ Jesus from all eternity.Pursue peace with all people, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
