Bible Verses about 'Own'

  • But because of sexual immoralities, each man is to have his own wife, and each woman is to have her own husband.
  • So husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.
  • No one is to seek his own advantage, but rather that of his neighbor.
  • Every person’s way is right in his own eyes,
But the Lord examines the hearts.
  • Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?

And their own arm did not save them,
But Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence,
    For You favored them.
  • It shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the Lord, so that you will do them and not follow your own heart and your own eyes, which led you to prostitute yourselves.

    And refreshment to your bones.

From doing as you wish on My holy day,
And call the Sabbath a pleasure, and the holy day of the Lord honorable,
And honor it, desisting from your own ways,
    From seeking your own pleasure
    And speaking your own word,
Then you will take delight in the Lord,
    And I will make you ride on the heights of the earth;
And I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father,
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

  • But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
  • Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
