Bible Verses about 'Own'
- Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.
- Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being.
- So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.
- And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?
- Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
But the Lord weighs the hearts. - And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined.
- All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes,
But the Lord weighs the spirits. - For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword,
Nor did their own arm save them;
But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance,
Because You favored them. - Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
- For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’
- He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
- A fool has no delight in understanding,
But in expressing his own heart. - He who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
He who keeps understanding will find good. - Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones. - So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
- Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
- One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind.
- Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths. - If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
From doing your pleasure on My holy day,
And call the Sabbath a delight,
The holy day of the Lord honorable,
And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways,
Nor finding your own pleasure,
Nor speaking your own words,
Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord;
And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth,
And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father.
The mouth of the Lord has spoken. - Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.

- “They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts,
“On the day that I make them My jewels.
And I will spare them
As a man spares his own son who serves him.” - The rich man’s wealth is his strong city,
And like a high wall in his own esteem. - Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
The people He has chosen as His own inheritance. - Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

That we should be able to offer so willingly as this?
For all things come from You,
And of Your own we have given You. - Whoever has no rule over his own spirit
Is like a city broken down, without walls. - For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God.
- For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
- The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious,
But the lips of a fool shall swallow him up. - But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”
