For to you a thousand years are like a yesterday that has passed or one of the watches of the night. | For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it is past, And like a watch in the night. |
By faith Abraham also received the power of procreation, even though he was well past the age—and Sarah herself was barren—because he believed that the one who had made the promise would be faithful in fulfilling it. | By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. |

I am the gate. Anyone who enters through me will be saved. He will go in and out and will find pasture. | I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. |
The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall lack. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me to tranquil streams. | The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. |
Do not assert that the past was better than the present, for such a statement is not a sign of wisdom. | Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not inquire wisely concerning this. |
For everything that was written in the past was written for our instruction, so that by perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures, we may continue to have hope. | For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. |
He has made everything suitable for its time, and he has given men a sense of past and future, but they never have the slightest comprehension of what God has wrought from beginning to end. | He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end. |
O Lord, you are my God. I will exalt you and praise your name, for you have accomplished wonderful things, formulated in ages past, faithful and sure. | O Lord, You are my God. Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; According to Your mercy remember me, For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord. |
