You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your right hand sustains me. Your gentleness has made me great. Good and upright is Yahweh, therefore he will instruct sinners in the way. He will guide the humble in justice. He will teach the humble his way. | Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. |
There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. | There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. |
How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. | Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. |
You shall walk in all the way which Yahweh your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess. | Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess. |
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. | Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. |
As newborn babies, long for the pure spiritual milk, that with it you may grow. | As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. |
Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning, for I trust in you. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. A highway will be there, a road, and it will be called “The Holy Way”. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it will be for those who walk in the Way. Wicked fools shall not go there. | And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. |
But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I will come out like gold. My foot has held fast to his steps. Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted. | Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. |
