- While they were there, the day had come for her to give birth. She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in bands of cloth and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in the inn.
- But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints.
- He who overcomes, I will give to him to sit down with me on my throne, as I also overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.
- You may say in your heart, “How shall we know the word which Yahweh has not spoken?” When a prophet speaks in Yahweh’s name, if the thing doesn’t follow, nor happen, that is the thing which Yahweh has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You shall not be afraid of him.

- He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence.
- I wait for Yahweh.
My soul waits.
I hope in his word. - I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
- It is better to take refuge in Yahweh,
than to put confidence in man. - For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision amounts to anything, but faith working through love.
- Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.
- Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who hope in Yahweh. - But I will sing of your strength.
Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning.
For you have been my high tower,
a refuge in the day of my distress. - I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people; and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more. The first things have passed away.”
- “Yahweh is my portion,” says my soul.
“Therefore I will hope in him.” - But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
- Being therefore exalted by the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this which you now see and hear.
- But as for me, I will look to Yahweh.
I will wait for the God of my salvation.
My God will hear me. - I love you, Yahweh, my strength.
Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer;
my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;
my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower. - In God, I praise his word.
In God, I put my trust.
I will not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me? - Those who know your name will put their trust in you,
for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you. - But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.
- I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it will be a sign of a covenant between me and the earth.
- But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
- Looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
