A fool rejects his father’s discipline, But he who complies with rebuke is sensible.Only a fool despises a parent’s discipline; whoever learns from correction is wise.
Better is a little with the fear of the Lord Than great treasure, and turmoil with the treasure.Better to have little, with fear for the Lord, than to have great treasure and inner turmoil.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is safe.The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.
A rich person’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own imagination.The rich think of their wealth as a strong defense; they imagine it to be a high wall of safety.
Before destruction the heart of a person is haughty, But humility goes before honor.Haughtiness goes before destruction; humility precedes honor.

A person’s gift makes room for him And brings him before great people.Giving a gift can open doors; it gives access to important people!
