Proverbs 31:10 (2/6)

Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.Avoid all perverse talk; stay away from corrupt speech.
Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you.
Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path.
Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.
My son, keep your father’s command and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.My son, obey your father’s commands, and don’t neglect your mother’s instruction.
Can a man walk on hot coals without his feet being scorched?Can he walk on hot coals and not blister his feet?

Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life, but those who ignore correction will go astray.
Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool.Hiding hatred makes you a liar; slandering others makes you a fool.
Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues.Too much talk leads to sin. Be sensible and keep your mouth shut.
The tongue of the righteous is choice silver, but the heart of the wicked is of little value.The words of the godly are like sterling silver; the heart of a fool is worthless.
The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it.The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.
The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing.The hopes of the godly result in happiness, but the expectations of the wicked come to nothing.
The way of the Lord is a refuge for the blameless, but it is the ruin of those who do evil.The way of the Lord is a stronghold to those with integrity, but it destroys the wicked.
The lips of the righteous know what finds favor, but the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse.The lips of the godly speak helpful words, but the mouth of the wicked speaks perverse words.
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.

The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.Honesty guides good people; dishonesty destroys treacherous people.
