Psalm 16:1 (2/9)

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom should I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom should I be afraid? The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?
Even if an army encamps against me, my heart will not succumb to fear; even if war breaks out against me, I will not have my trust shaken.Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident.
There is only one thing I ask of the Lord, just one thing I seek: to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, so that I may enjoy the beauty of the Lord and gaze on his temple. The one thing I ask of the Lord— the thing I seek most— is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections and meditating in his Temple.
I am confident that I will behold the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.
Place your hope in the Lord: be strong and courageous in your heart, and place your hope in the Lord.Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart places its trust in him. He has helped me, and I exult; then with my song I praise him.The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.
May the Lord grant strength to his people. May the Lord bless his people with peace. The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.
For his anger lasts for only a moment, while his goodwill endures for a lifetime. Weeping may last throughout the night, but at daybreak there is rejoicing. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.
In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me.O Lord, I have come to you for protection; don’t let me be disgraced. Save me, for you do what is right.
You are truly my rock and my fortress; for the sake of your name, lead and guide me.You are my rock and my fortress. For the honor of your name, lead me out of this danger.
My life is in your hands; deliver me from the power of my enemies, from the clutches of those who pursue me.My future is in your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly.
Let your face shine upon your servant; save me in your kindness.Let your favor shine on your servant. In your unfailing love, rescue me.
How great is your goodness, O Lord, which you have stored up for those who fear you and which you bestow on those who take refuge in you, in the presence of all the people. How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world.
Be strong and courageous in your hearts, all you who place your hope in the Lord.So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord!
Blessed is the one whose offense is forgiven, whose sin is erased.Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight!
As long as I remained silent, my body wasted away as the result of my groaning throughout the day. When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long.
Then I acknowledged my sin to you, and I made no attempt to conceal my guilt. I said, “I will confess my offenses to the Lord,” and you removed the guilt of my sin. SelahFinally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.
You are a place of refuge for me; you preserve me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. SelahFor you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory.
I will instruct you and guide you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and keep my eyes upon you.The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”
For the word of the Lord is true, and he is faithful in everything he does. For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does.
The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is filled with his kindness. He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.
The heavens were made by the word of the Lord, and all their host by the breath of his mouth. The Lord merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and all the stars were born.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage. What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.
But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those who trust in his kindness. But the Lord watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love.
O Lord, let your kindness rest upon us, for we have placed our hope in you.Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone.

I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise will be continually on my lips.I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises.
