Bible Verses about 'Rest'
So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. | Consequently, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. |

This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your oxen and donkeys and other livestock, and any foreigners living among you. Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone. | Let Your favor, Lord, be upon us, Just as we have waited for You. |
So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. | So then, let’s not sleep as others do, but let’s be alert and sober. |
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe. | In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, Lord, have me dwell in safety. |
My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. | My salvation and my glory rest on God; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. |
Then, by the will of God, I will be able to come to you with a joyful heart, and we will be an encouragement to each other. | So that I may come to you in joy by the will of God and relax in your company. |
Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. | And tongues that looked like fire appeared to them, distributing themselves, and a tongue rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with different tongues, as the Spirit was giving them the ability to speak out. |
