You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. Honor your father and mother. For the commandments say, “You must not commit adultery. You must not murder. You must not steal. You must not covet.” These—and other such commandments—are summed up in this one commandment: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” | For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” |

Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. | Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. |
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. | That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. |
For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory. | You are my hiding place. You will preserve me from trouble. You will surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah. |
Do not nurse hatred in your heart for any of your relatives. Confront people directly so you will not be held guilty for their sin. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against a fellow Israelite, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord. | You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am Yahweh. |
The Lord your God will bless you as he has promised. You will lend money to many nations but will never need to borrow. You will rule many nations, but they will not rule over you. | For Yahweh your God will bless you, as he promised you. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow. You will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you. |
But from there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him. | But from there you shall seek Yahweh your God, and you will find him when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. |
A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ | A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ |
Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. You must not covet your neighbor’s house. And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” | For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” |
The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” | I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. |
So obey the commands of the Lord your God by walking in his ways and fearing him. | You shall keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him. |
Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. | Yahweh, in the morning you will hear my voice. In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and will watch expectantly. |
And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. | She shall give birth to a son. You shall name him Jesus, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins. |
Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good. | You shall consider in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so Yahweh your God disciplines you. |
I have been the Lord your God ever since I brought you out of Egypt. You must acknowledge no God but me, for there is no other savior. | Yet I am Yahweh your God from the land of Egypt; and you shall acknowledge no god but me, and besides me there is no savior. |
He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. | He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. |
Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.” | Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ |
