- Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all sins. - A perverse man sows strife,
And a whisperer separates the best of friends. - By pride comes nothing but strife,
But with the well-advised is wisdom. - It is honorable for a man to stop striving,
Since any fool can start a quarrel. - A fool’s lips enter into contention,
And his mouth calls for blows. - Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
- For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
- Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end. So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.Next verse! With image
