Bible Verses about 'Strife'
- It is to one’s honor to avoid strife,
but every fool is quick to quarrel. - Hatred stirs up conflict,
but love covers over all wrongs. - A perverse person stirs up conflict,
and a gossip separates close friends. - The lips of fools bring them strife,
and their mouths invite a beating. - Where there is strife, there is pride,
but wisdom is found in those who take advice. - The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
- For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
- Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.
I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”Next verse! With image
