- A froward man soweth strife:
and a whisperer separateth chief friends. - It is an honour for a man to cease from strife:
but every fool will be meddling. - Hatred stirreth up strifes:
but love covereth all sins. - A fool's lips enter into contention,
and his mouth calleth for strokes. - Only by pride cometh contention:
but with the well advised is wisdom. - For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
- Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
- Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.Next verse! With image
