Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Talk'
- In all labour there is profit:
but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. - Put away from thee a froward mouth,
and perverse lips put far from thee. - And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
- Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
- Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
- In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin:
but he that refraineth his lips is wise. - My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
- Death and life are in the power of the tongue:
and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. - But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints.
- But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out: For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
- And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
- If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath,
from doing thy pleasure on my holy day;
and call the sabbath a delight,
the holy of the Lord, honourable;
and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways,
nor finding thine own pleasure,
nor speaking thine own words:
Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord;
and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth,
and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father:
for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. - So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
- He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life:
but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.
Be still, and know that I am God:
I will be exalted among the heathen,
I will be exalted in the earth.
