Bible Verses about 'Talk'
- All hard work brings a profit,
but mere talk leads only to poverty. - Keep your mouth free of perversity;
keep corrupt talk far from your lips. - These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
- Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

- Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
- “If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath
and from doing as you please on my holy day,
if you call the Sabbath a delight
and the Lord’s holy day honorable,
and if you honor it by not going your own way
and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,
then you will find your joy in the Lord,
and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land
and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.”
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. - But when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
- After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.
- Those who guard their lips preserve their lives,
but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.
Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
