In praying, don’t use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
But don’t forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in Yahweh’s house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple.One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.
Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As I gave you the green herb, I have given everything to you. Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, yes, the death of the cross.Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!
While we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
But say the things which fit sound doctrine.You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine.
God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist, that no flesh should boast before God.God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.
“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything.“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.

But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
