But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. | These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. |
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. | Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! |
As knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine, according to the Good News of the glory of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. | We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me. |
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. | I can do all this through him who gives me strength. |
He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath day. Behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years. She was bent over and could in no way straighten herself up. When Jesus saw her, he called her and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your infirmity.” He laid his hands on her, and immediately she stood up straight and glorified God. The ruler of the synagogue, being indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the multitude, “There are six days in which men ought to work. Therefore come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day!” Therefore the Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each one of you free his ox or his donkey from the stall on the Sabbath and lead him away to water? Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham whom Satan had bound eighteen long years, be freed from this bondage on the Sabbath day?” As he said these things, all his adversaries were disappointed; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him. | On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God. Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue leader said to the people, “There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.” The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?” When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing. |
All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. | If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. |
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. | Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. |
For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God. | For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. |
For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God except God’s Spirit. | For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. |
Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection. | And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. |
Yahweh, you are my God. I will exalt you! I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago, in complete faithfulness and truth. | Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago. |
But he said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” | Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” |
Yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we live through him. | Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. |
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. | No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. |
His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ | His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ |
All things were made through him. Without him, nothing was made that has been made. | Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. |
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” | “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” |
What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? | What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? |
Sing to Yahweh, for he has done excellent things! Let this be known in all the earth! | Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world. |
The multitude of those who believed were of one heart and soul. Not one of them claimed that anything of the things which he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. | All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. |
He who testifies these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen! Yes, come, Lord Jesus! | He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. |
For of him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen. | For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen. |
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. | Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. |
But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ. | Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. |
Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. | Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. |
