| He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. | Who is wise? Let them realize these things. Who is discerning? Let them understand. For the ways of the Lord are right, And the righteous will walk in them, But wrongdoers will stumble in them. |
| You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. | Therefore you have no excuse, you foolish person, everyone of you who passes judgment; for in that matter in which you judge someone else, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. |

| The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. | But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows.
