When riches increase, so do those who are eager to accumulate them, and those who have accumulated them must remain content simply to feast their eyes on them. But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. If you, then, despite your evil nature, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! If the Lord does not build the house, those who construct it labor in vain. If the Lord does not guard the city, those who keep watch over it do so in vain. No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a pot or places it under a bed. Rather he places it on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light. Luke 8:16	No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house. honesty holiness light
However, to those who did accept him and who believed in his name he granted the power to become children of God. John 1:12	But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. faith Father children
Blessed is the person who has found wisdom, the one who has gained understanding. Proverbs 3:13	Joyful is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding. wisdom mind understanding
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; those who are guided by it will grow in understanding. His praise will last forever. Psalm 111:10	Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever! awe wisdom worship
But according to Scripture all things have been confined under sin, so that through faith in Jesus Christ what was promised might be given to those who believe. Galatians 3:22	But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ. sin trust faith

At the time that discipline is received, it always seems painful rather than pleasant, but afterward it yields a harvest of peace and uprightness to those who have been trained by it.

No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.
