- Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep.
- But the Lord watches over those who fear him,
those who rely on his unfailing love. - But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.
- Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you. - God blesses those who mourn,
for they will be comforted. - But the love of the Lord remains forever
with those who fear him.
His salvation extends to the children’s children
of those who are faithful to his covenant,
of those who obey his commandments! - That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.
- But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!
- Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them.
- Those who love your instructions have great peace
and do not stumble. - How great is the goodness
you have stored up for those who fear you.
You lavish it on those who come to you for protection,
blessing them before the watching world. - Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.
- Joyful are those who obey his laws
and search for him with all their hearts. - But those who won’t care for their relatives, especially those in their own household, have denied the true faith. Such people are worse than unbelievers.
- Deceit fills hearts that are plotting evil;
joy fills hearts that are planning peace! - God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice,
for they will be satisfied. - For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.
- And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.
- And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
- The tongue can bring death or life;
those who love to talk will reap the consequences. - The Lord is good,
a strong refuge when trouble comes.
He is close to those who trust in him. - The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down.
The Lord loves the godly. - The Lord is like a father to his children,
tender and compassionate to those who fear him. - Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don’t. And those who don’t eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them.
- The Lord detests lying lips,
but he delights in those who tell the truth.
He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest.
He is a shield to those who walk with integrity.But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.Next verse!With image
