- Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.

to a nation that did not call on my name. - God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. - And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
- The Lord is good,
a stronghold in a day of trouble;
he protects those who take refuge in him. - He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is a shield to those who walk blamelessly. - Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruits. - The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous. - As a father has compassion for his children,
so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him. - Happy are those who find wisdom
and those who get understanding. - Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to do it. - If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
- Happy are those whose way is blameless,
who walk in the law of the Lord. - Blessed are those who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
- And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.
- Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
but those who act faithfully are his delight. - To those who by patiently doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.
- So those who welcomed his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand persons were added.

for all his works are truth,

none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned. - Those who guard their mouths preserve their lives;
those who open wide their lips come to ruin. - So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all and especially for those of the family of faith.
- For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
- And whoever does not provide for relatives, and especially for family members, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
- Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace among those whom he favors! - Shun youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
