I have come to call not those who think they are righteous… Luke 5:32

I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent. Luke 5:32	I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance. sin repentance conversion
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31	But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. hope encouragement strength

Praise the Lord! How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands. Psalm 112:1	Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His commandments. law love awe
Joyful is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding. Proverbs 3:13	Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding. wisdom mind understanding
Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands. Deuteronomy 7:9	Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments. reliability law God
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received! Matthew 10:8	Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. healing giving receiving
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. So the Lord must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help. The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. Psalm 34:17-18	The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. salvation redeemer nearness
Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. Ephesians 4:29	Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. speaking gossip goodness
Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. Ephesians 5:11-12	And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. sin speaking idols
Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! Psalm 34:8	Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! God blessing rest
Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! Psalm 32:1	Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. sin forgiveness blessing
For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. 1 Thessalonians 4:14	For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. faith Jesus resurrection
For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost. Luke 19:10	For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost. salvation Jesus seeking
Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. Romans 13:1	Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. trust God obedience
God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. Matthew 5:8	Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. honesty blessing heart
Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. 1 Timothy 6:17	Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. money joy materialism
But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:22	But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. sin trust faith
No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house. Luke 8:16	No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light. honesty holiness light
Many will be purified, cleansed, and refined by these trials. But the wicked will continue in their wickedness, and none of them will understand. Only those who are wise will know what it means. Daniel 12:10	Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand. purification sin understanding
But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. 1 Timothy 6:9	But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. money greed materialism
Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him. 1 John 3:21-22	Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. trust law obedience
In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him. Hebrews 5:9	And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him. salvation Savior eternal life
The way of the Lord is a stronghold to those with integrity, but it destroys the wicked. Proverbs 10:29	The way of the Lord is strength for the upright, But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity. sin reliability law
