Every word of God is flawless. He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.
Like a father has compassion on his children, so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him.The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.
Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven; for all his works are truth, and his ways justice; and those who walk in pride he is able to abase.Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing.Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.
Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight.The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in those who tell the truth.
Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous.The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly.
If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even sinners do that much!
Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to Yahweh’s law.Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord.
Yahweh’s face is against those who do evil, to cut off their memory from the earth.But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth.
We are his witnesses of these things; and so also is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.We are witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit, who is given by God to those who obey him.
Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it.Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them.
But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.But those who won’t care for their relatives, especially those in their own household, have denied the true faith. Such people are worse than unbelievers.
Then those who gladly received his word were baptized. There were added that day about three thousand souls.Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all.
Watch yourselves, that we don’t lose the things which we have accomplished, but that we receive a full reward.Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward.
Yahweh redeems the soul of his servants. None of those who take refuge in him shall be condemned.But the Lord will redeem those who serve him. No one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.
God sets the lonely in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land.God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy. But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.
Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.”Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”
The earth is Yahweh’s, with its fullness; the world, and those who dwell in it.The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.
A highway will be there, a road, and it will be called “The Holy Way”. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it will be for those who walk in the Way. Wicked fools shall not go there.And a great road will go through that once deserted land. It will be named the Highway of Holiness. Evil-minded people will never travel on it. It will be only for those who walk in God’s ways; fools will never walk there.
My times are in your hand. Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me.My future is in your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly.
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.
So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.
For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.

Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil. He ate nothing in those days. Afterward, when they were completed, he was hungry.Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry.
