Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Lord, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee. | In the path of your judgments, O Lord, we wait for you; your name and your renown are the soul's desire. |

We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments. | We have sinned and done wrong, acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and ordinances. |
Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. | May he grant you your heart's desire, and fulfill all your plans. |
But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. | But I will sing of your might; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been a fortress for me and a refuge in the day of my distress. |
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. | Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. |
Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me. | I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I set your ordinances before me. |
O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. | O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure. |
So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off. | Know that wisdom is such to your soul; if you find it, you will find a future, and your hope will not be cut off. |
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. | I treasure your word in my heart, so that I may not sin against you. |
Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord. | Turn back, and say to Hezekiah prince of my people, Thus says the Lord, the God of your ancestor David: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; indeed, I will heal you; on the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord. |
In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul. | When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul. |
I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me. | I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life. |
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil. | Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil. |
I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches. | I delight in the way of your decrees as much as in all riches. |
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them. | Remember your creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come, and the years draw near when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”. |
Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. | Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble. |
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. | Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. |
