- Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

- For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
- Knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things like silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish or spot, the blood of Christ.
- The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears,
and delivers them out of all their troubles.
Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart,
and saves those who have a crushed spirit. - Do all things without complaining and arguing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without defect in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world, holding up the word of life.
- He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
- In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience,
but he who restrains his lips does wisely. - When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.”
- He who guards his mouth guards his soul.
One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. - For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
- Therefore let’s not judge one another any more, but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block in his brother’s way, or an occasion for falling.
- I will establish my covenant with you: All flesh will not be cut off any more by the waters of the flood. There will never again be a flood to destroy the earth.
- As you don’t know what is the way of the wind,
nor how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child;
even so you don’t know the work of God who does all. - The father of the righteous has great joy.
Whoever fathers a wise child delights in him. - Yahweh, the Lord, is my strength.
He makes my feet like deer’s feet,
and enables me to go in high places.
