- Do all things without complaining and arguing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without defect in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world, holding up the word of life.
- I will establish my covenant with you: All flesh will not be cut off any more by the waters of the flood. There will never again be a flood to destroy the earth.
- The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears,
and delivers them out of all their troubles.
Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart,
and saves those who have a crushed spirit. - I, even I, am he who comforts you.
Who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die,
and of the son of man who will be made as grass? - He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
- “They shall be mine,” says Yahweh of Armies, “my own possession in the day that I make. I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him.”
- In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience,
but he who restrains his lips does wisely. - When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.”
- For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
- He who guards his mouth guards his soul.
One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. - Therefore let’s not judge one another any more, but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block in his brother’s way, or an occasion for falling.
- Tongues like fire appeared and were distributed to them, and one sat on each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other languages, as the Spirit gave them the ability to speak.
