All that you do must be done in love. | Let all your things be done with charity. |
Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. | And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. |

If someone says, “I love God,” and yet he hates his brother or sister, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother and sister whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. | If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? |
If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. | If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. |
Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all offenses. | Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins. |
A person of too many friends comes to ruin, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. | A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. |
For His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. | According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. |
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. | Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. |
The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ | And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. |
This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. | This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. |
Love must be free of hypocrisy. Detest what is evil; cling to what is good. | Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. |
Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant. It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered. | Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil. |
Those who love Your Law have great peace, And nothing causes them to stumble. | Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. |
And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God must also love his brother and sister. | And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. |
Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends. | Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. |
Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. | As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. |
Little children, let’s not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth. | My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. |
But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God. | But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. |
By this all people will know that you are My disciples: if you have love for one another. | By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. |
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor. | Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another. |
But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. | But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. |
Do not lie to one another, since you stripped off the old self with its evil practices, and have put on the new self, which is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created it. | Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him. |
