Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:7-8	For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. sin salvation death

Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. 1 John 3:18	My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. honesty truth speaking
He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. Titus 3:5	Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. salvation Holy Spirit rebirth
Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. Romans 8:18	For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. eternal life salvation suffering
We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord. Romans 15:2	Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification. selfishness encouragement neighbor
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Hebrews 4:16	Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. grace prayer mercy

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? Romans 8:35	Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? love suffering persecution
So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law. Galatians 5:1	Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Jesus life redeemer
We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. 1 John 3:16	By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. love Jesus neighbor
For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 2 Corinthians 4:17	For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. eternal life suffering encouragement
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Hebrews 10:23	Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. reliability hope acknowledging
God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. 1 John 4:9	In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. love Jesus life
Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms. Psalm 68:19	Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah worship dependence salvation
Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean! Micah 7:19	He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea. compassion sin forgiveness
We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. 1 John 4:16	And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. trust love God
So let us do our best to enter that rest. But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall. Hebrews 4:11	Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. sabbath obedience rest
Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7	Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. love neighbor friendship
Until at last the Spirit is poured out on us from heaven. Then the wilderness will become a fertile field, and the fertile field will yield bountiful crops. For the Lord gave us this command when he said, ‘I have made you a light to the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’ Acts 13:47	For so the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.’ evangelism salvation light
So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? Romans 6:3	Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Jesus baptism

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
