Bible Verses about 'Us'
- May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us or abandon us.
- You have tested us, O God;
you have purified us like silver. - Give us today the food we need.
- And don’t let us yield to temptation,
but rescue us from the evil one. - Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.”
- What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
- And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us.
- We love each other because he loved us first.
- Help us, O God of our salvation!
Help us for the glory of your name.
Save us and forgive our sins
for the honor of your name. - Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
but to your name goes all the glory
for your unfailing love and faithfulness. - And forgive us our sins,
as we have forgiven those who sin against us. - No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.
- Come, let us worship and bow down.
Let us kneel before the Lord our maker. - Turn us again to yourself, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies.
Make your face shine down upon us.
Only then will we be saved. - Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?
- Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
- For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.
- But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.
- He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.
- Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.
- Instead, let us test and examine our ways.
Let us turn back to the Lord. - And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.
- Yes, God will bless us,
and people all over the world will fear him. - Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
- Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord,
for our hope is in you alone. - Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.
- For the Lord is our judge,
our lawgiver, and our king.
He will care for us and save us. - And may the Lord our God show us his approval
and make our efforts successful.
Yes, make our efforts successful! - Teach us to realize the brevity of life,
so that we may grow in wisdom. - For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.
- For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
- By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.
- No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
- See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.
- And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
- He has removed our sins as far from us
as the east is from the west. - For we will be counted as righteous when we obey all the commands the Lord our God has given us.
- And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.
- And the Lord our God commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear him so he can continue to bless us and preserve our lives, as he has done to this day.
- But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- For a child is born to us,
a son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders.
And he will be called:
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. - And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
- But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)
- “As I began to speak,” Peter continued, “the Holy Spirit fell on them, just as he fell on us at the beginning.”
- He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.
- And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
- But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.
- And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.
- Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
- We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.
