- The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our ancestors; may he not leave us or abandon us.

- All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.
- Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us.
- Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
and prosper for us the work of our hands—
O prosper the work of our hands! - And live in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
- All who obey his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit that he has given us.
- He it is who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds.
- May God continue to bless us;
let all the ends of the earth revere him. - Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,
even as we hope in you. - Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another.
- Let us test and examine our ways,
and return to the Lord. - So teach us to count our days
that we may gain a wise heart. - His divine power has given us everything needed for life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
- So then let us not fall asleep as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.
- He has rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
- See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
- No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
- And hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.
- For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline.
- For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our ruler,
the Lord is our king; he will save us. - Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor.
- As far as the east is from the west,
so far he removes our transgressions from us. - Then the Lord commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our lasting good, so as to keep us alive, as is now the case.
- And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
- But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- For a child has been born for us,
a son given to us;
authority rests upon his shoulders;
and he is named
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. - If we diligently observe this entire commandment before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us, we will be in the right.
- But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ —by grace you have been saved—.
- And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as it had upon us at the beginning.
- Indeed, rarely will anyone die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person someone might actually dare to die. But God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us.
- If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit.
- And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him.
- And this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
- Save us, we beseech you, O Lord!
O Lord, we beseech you, give us success!
