| For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” | For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. |

| See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! | Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. | Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? | If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? | But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? |
