Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city.One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And one who rules his spirit, than one who captures a city.
Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.Be strong and let your heart take courage, All you who wait for the Lord.
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.”But when Jesus heard this, He said, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.”
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.The one who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.
Then he said to them, “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For it is the one who is least among you all who is the greatest.”And He said to them, “Whoever receives this child in My name receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me; for the one who is least among all of you, this is the one who is great.”
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”Who will repay each person according to his deeds.
Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.But who am I and who are my people that we should be able to offer as generously as this? For all things come from You, and from Your hand we have given to You.
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.He made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not get upset because of one who is successful in his way, Because of the person who carries out wicked schemes.
Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.One who pays attention to the word will find good, And blessed is one who trusts in the Lord.
The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart; whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others.One who walks with integrity, practices righteousness, And speaks truth in his heart. He does not slander with his tongue, Nor do evil to his neighbor, Nor bring shame on his friend.
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to set their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.
Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.
Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.
Very truly I tell you, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me.Truly, truly I say to you, the one who receives anyone I send, receives Me; and the one who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.
Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.Who is a God like You, who pardons wrongdoing And passes over a rebellious act of the remnant of His possession? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy.
One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.A person of too many friends comes to ruin, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.How great is Your goodness, Which You have stored up for those who fear You, Which You have performed for those who take refuge in You, Before the sons of mankind!
And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised.
Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.”So Jesus answered them and said, “My teaching is not My own, but His who sent Me.”

I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.
