| You adulterers and adulteresses, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? | He who is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a quick temper displays folly. | A patient man shows good sense, but a quick-tempered man displays the height of folly. |
| He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me, and I in him. | Whoever feeds upon my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me and I dwell in him. |
| He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God. | Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe in him already stands condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God. |
| As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on me will also live because of me. | Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so whoever feeds upon me will live because of me. |
| Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. | Remember this: if you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly, and if you sow generously, you will reap generously as well. |
