He who is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a quick temper displays folly.A patient man shows good sense, but a quick-tempered man displays the height of folly.
He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, ‘Streams of living water shall flow from within him.’
The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever.And the world with all its enticements is passing away, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
But he who endures to the end will be saved.But whoever endures to the end will be saved.
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith.For everyone born of God conquers the world. And the victory that conquers the world is our faith.
Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.In love there is no fear; indeed, perfect love casts out fear, because fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not yet achieved perfection in love.
He who gets wisdom loves his own soul. He who keeps understanding shall find good.Whoever gains wisdom loves his own soul; one who cherishes understanding will prosper.
This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother.This is the commandment we have received from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.
I am the living bread which came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. Yes, the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world.
Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.Remember this: if you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly, and if you sow generously, you will reap generously as well.
But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.However, whoever lives by the truth comes to the light so that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been done in God.
In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience, but he who restrains his lips does wisely.Where many words are spoken, sin is not absent, but whoever restrains his tongue is prudent.
I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out and will find pasture.I am the gate. Anyone who enters through me will be saved. He will go in and out and will find pasture.
We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.We have come to know and to believe in the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
He who covers an offense promotes love; but he who repeats a matter separates best friends.One who forgives a misdeed fosters friendship, but he who divulges it separates good friends.
But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.And whoever does not provide for relatives, especially for those who are living with him, has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”Jesus addressed them once again, saying, “I am the light of the world. The one who follows me will never walk in darkness. Rather, he will have the light of life.”
Bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do.Bear with one another, and forgive one another if anyone has reason to be offended with another. You must forgive just as the Lord has forgiven you.
Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.Everyone who sins breaks the law, for sin is lawlessness.
Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, you should arm yourselves also with the same intention. For anyone who has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin.
One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.Anyone who has received my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.
I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever abides in me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. Apart from me you can do nothing.
If a man says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?If someone says, “I love God,” but at the same time hates his brother, he is a liar. For whoever does not love the brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.
The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall be watered also himself.A generous person will be enriched; he who refreshes others will also be refreshed.

Like a city that is broken down and without walls is a man whose spirit is without restraint.Like a city that has been breached and made defenseless is the man devoid of self-control.
