| All this also comes from the Lord Almighty, whose plan is wonderful, whose wisdom is magnificent. | This also comes out from Yahweh of Armies, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom. |
| Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. | Now accept one who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions. |

| Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control. | Like a city that is broken down and without walls is a man whose spirit is without restraint. |
| Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance. | Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance. |
| Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord. | Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to Yahweh’s law. |
| The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart; whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others. | He who walks blamelessly and does what is right, and speaks truth in his heart; he who doesn’t slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his friend, nor casts slurs against his fellow man. |
| You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. | You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you. |

| For this is what the high and exalted One says— he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.” | For the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy, says: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.” |
| But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. | If it seems evil to you to serve Yahweh, choose today whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh. |
| But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. | Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose confidence is in Yahweh. For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. It won’t cease from yielding fruit. |
