Wisdom to help (3/4)

The Law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The law of the Lord is perfect, affording refreshment to the soul. The decree of the Lord is worthy of trust, imparting wisdom to the simple.
In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, Lord, have me dwell in safety. In peace I lie down and sleep, for only with your help, O Lord, can I rest secure.
When good things increase, those who consume them increase. So what is the advantage to their owners except to look at them? When riches increase, so do those who are eager to accumulate them, and those who have accumulated them must remain content simply to feast their eyes on them.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body And refreshment to your bones.Do not pride yourself on your own wisdom; fear the Lord and turn your back on evil. This will provide healing for your flesh and restore strength to your body.
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.”And the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I wish to make another creature who will be like him.”
I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was exalted with my tongue.I lifted up my voice in prayer to him; his praise was on my tongue.
But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him?If anyone is rich in worldly possessions and sees a brother in need but refuses to open his heart, how can the love of God abide in him?
Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?Do you suppose that I cannot appeal to my Father for help and he will not immediately send me more than twelve legions of angels?
Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification. Each of us must consider his neighbor’s good for the purpose of building him up.
For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but rather a spirit of power and of love and of wisdom.
For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all who call upon You.O Lord, you are kind and forgiving, filled with kindness for all who cry to you.
Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. Two are better than one: they earn a far greater reward for their toil.
Out of the depths I have cried to You, Lord. Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the sound of my pleadings.Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord; O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cries of supplication.
Riches do not benefit on the day of wrath, But righteousness rescues from death.Riches will be of no avail on the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.
Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor, Obtain justice for the orphan, Plead for the widow’s case. And learn to do good. Pursue justice and rescue the oppressed; listen to the plea of the orphan and defend the widow.
But as for me, I will be on the watch for the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.But as for me, I will look to the Lord. I place my hope in God my savior; my God will hear me.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age.For the grace of God has appeared bringing salvation to the entire human race. It teaches us to reject godless ways and worldly desires, and in the present age to lead lives that are temperate, just, and godly.
Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand. What right do you have to pass judgment on someone else’s servant? The master will determine whether that servant will stand or fall. But the servant will be upheld, for the Lord has the power to enable him to stand.
Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another, according to Christ Jesus.May the God of perseverance and encouragement grant that you may live in harmony with one another, following in the example of Jesus Christ.
You shall not oppress any widow or orphan. If you oppress him at all, and if he does cry out to Me, I will assuredly hear his cry; and My anger will be kindled, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless. You shall not oppress the widow or the orphan. If you mistreat them and they cry out to me for help, I will surely hear their cry, and my fury will burn and I will put you to death by the sword. Your wives will be widows and your children will be orphans.
Keep deception and lies far from me, Give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me with the food that is my portion.Keep falsehood and lying far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but simply provide me with the food that I need.
Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him.But even so the Lord is waiting to be gracious to you, and he will rise up to grant you his compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.
We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is only fitting, because your faith is increasing abundantly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another grows ever greater.Brethren, we must always give thanks to God for you, and it is only right that we do so. For your faith grows ever more, and the love that all of you have for one another continues to increase.
I permitted Myself to be sought by those who did not ask for Me; I permitted Myself to be found by those who did not seek Me. I said, ‘Here am I, here am I,’ To a nation which did not call on My name.I was eager to respond to those who did not consult me. I was anxious to be approached by those who did not seek me. I said, “Here I am! Here I am!” to a nation that did not summon me.
For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

For I long to see you so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established; that is, that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine. For I am longing to see you so that I may bestow on you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— or, rather, so that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine.
