Wisdom to help (2/4)

Don’t weary yourself to be rich. In your wisdom, show restraint.Do not wear yourself out in the pursuit of wealth, and cease even to think about it.
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation to know him.
For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up.And if one should fall, his companion will help him up. How pathetic is the man who is alone and falls and has no one to assist him to his feet.
This also comes out from Yahweh of Armies, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom. All this knowledge comes from the Lord of hosts whose counsel is wonderful and whose wisdom is great.
The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; those who are guided by it will grow in understanding. His praise will last forever.
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.Who among you is wise and understanding? Prove by your good life that your works are done with the humility that comes from wisdom.
Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out!Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How inscrutable are his judgments and how unfathomable his ways!
Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and give you help, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.
I thank you and praise you, O God of my fathers, who have given me wisdom and might, and have now made known to me what we desired of you; for you have made known to us the king’s matter. To you, O God of my fathers, I offer thanks and praise because you have given me wisdom and power. Now you have made known to me what we asked of you; you have revealed to us the king’s dream.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.Let the word of Christ with all its richness dwell in you. Teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God with gratitude in your hearts.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. However, the wisdom that comes from above is first of all pure, then peaceable, gentle, and considerate, full of mercy and good fruits, without any trace of partiality or hypocrisy.
In my distress I called on Yahweh, and cried to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry before him came into his ears.In my anguish I cried out to the Lord and called to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.
Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God.Why are you so disheartened, O my soul? Why do you sigh within me? Place your hope in God; for I will once again praise him, my Savior and my God.
Having therefore obtained the help that is from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen, how the Christ must suffer, and how, by the resurrection of the dead, he would be first to proclaim light both to these people and to the Gentiles. But I have had help from God to this very day, and I stand here and testify to both the lowly and the great. I assert nothing more than what the Prophets and Moses said would occur: that the Christ must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light to the people and to the Gentiles.
A friend loves at all times; and a brother is born for adversity.A true friend is one at all times, and a brother is born to render help in time of need.
Don’t say, “Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not ask wisely about this.Do not assert that the past was better than the present, for such a statement is not a sign of wisdom.
For I know that this will turn out to my salvation through your prayers and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. For I know that through your prayers and with the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will result in deliverance for me.
You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your right hand sustains me. Your gentleness has made me great. You have enlarged my steps under me, My feet have not slipped. You have given me the shield of your salvation; your right hand sustains me, and your goodness makes me great. You broadened the path beneath me so that my feet have never stumbled.
I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you forever.
Hear my prayer, Yahweh, and give ear to my cry. Don’t be silent at my tears. For I am a stranger with you, a foreigner, as all my fathers were.Hear my prayer, O Lord; do not be deaf to my cry or ignore my weeping. For I am a wayfarer before you, a nomad like all my ancestors.
Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it.Do not withhold kindness from anyone to whom it is due when it is in your power to grant it.
Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry.The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.
Behold, God is my helper. The Lord is the one who sustains my soul.Surely God is my helper; the Lord is the one who sustains me.
The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. The righteous call out, and the Lord hears them; he rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord remains close to the brokenhearted, and he saves those whose spirit is crushed.
For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed toward his name, in that you served the saints, and still do serve them. For God would not be so unjust as to ignore your work and the love that you have shown for his name by the services you have rendered to the saints and still continue to render.

Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. Yahweh’s covenant is sure, making wise the simple. The law of the Lord is perfect, affording refreshment to the soul. The decree of the Lord is worthy of trust, imparting wisdom to the simple.
