- Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
- Therefore, as for you, let that remain in you which you heard from the beginning. If that which you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son, and in the Father.
- He who keeps his commandments remains in him, and he in him. By this we know that he remains in us, by the Spirit which he gave us.
- You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

- Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light. What you have spoken in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
- In God, I praise his word.
In God, I put my trust.
I will not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me? - If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.
- Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus.
- Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?
- For a day in your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God,
than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. - In Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far off, and Lazarus at his bosom. He cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue! For I am in anguish in this flame.’
- God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.
- In you, Yahweh, I take refuge.
Let me never be disappointed.
Deliver me in your righteousness. - No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us.
- Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stand on the path of sinners,
nor sit in the seat of scoffers. - Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, and in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.
- Preserve me, God, for I take refuge in you.
- But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ.
- I have taught you in the way of wisdom.
I have led you in straight paths. - Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching in it with thanksgiving.
