| For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. | For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. |
| And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption. | And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. |

| How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word. | How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. |

| The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. | For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight.
