Word of god (3/4)

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents. In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?
The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.
So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.
Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?”Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word. How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.
Then, by the will of God, I will be able to come to you with a joyful heart, and we will be an encouragement to each other. So that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed.
God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.
You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word.I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.
God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things. As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.
I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
For you are free, yet you are God’s slaves, so don’t use your freedom as an excuse to do evil.Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.
Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all.Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.
And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
